I bought this before my holiday on the recommendation of a friend who had used it on her wedding day.

It arrived ON THE MORNING of my holiday - talk about cutting it fine! So the first test I had of it was in ridiculous temperatures of 40+^oC .

Last year, in Greece, my make up melted off my face every day without fail despite using primer and setting my foundation with powder. So this year I was looking for a miracle product...and I think I found it!

I started with this recipe: Slimming Eats which was delicious!

I like to play with food so then I added a teaspoon of garlic and onion granules into the mix, some paprika and some chilli flakes to give it a little heat.

Krakow (or Cracow) is the second largest city in Poland and certainly one of the most beautiful.

I visited there in August 2008 and was stunned by the culture and beauty of the city. We stayed near the Old Town, a short walk into the town centre.

So when I saw a pink and black nail art photo on Pinterest, I followed the link.

Pixie does: Ted at the cinema

As title suggests...film night tonight. The Boy's turn to choose...and I'd put off seeing Ted as long as humanly possible. Stuffed toys that talk and swear?!?





My kind of film...boy meets girl, they have few problems, they overcome a difficult situation and live happily ever after!

Turns out that as long as one of the characters is a talking, swearing bear then that's the kind of film boys like too.

Pixie cooks: Slimming World Crispy Jacket Potato

The single worst thing about doing Slimming World was the jacket potatoes. They're free on Green and Extra Easy days and one of my favourite sides.

But...my favoured way of making a jacket potato was rubbing it in oil and salt, then banging it in the oven. Crunchy on the outside, crispy on the inside.

Slimming World jacket potatoes, for me at least, consisted of microwaving them. Ugh ugh ugh.

Pixie cooks: Tomato and Chicken in the slow cooker

Got given a slow cooker as a house warming present after visiting a friend and eating some DELICIOUS slow cooker meals!

So far I've used it twice...once for Moroccan Lamb which smelled so bad I couldn't face eating it, and once for Beef Stew which was tender but bland. So I've given it another go with this...AND it was DELICIOUS!

And best of all...slimming world friendly!

Pixie does: Cake decorating

Tried my hand at cake decorating today with a  workshop at Paprika in Cheadle Hulme.

The workshop ran for three hours from 1pm until 4pm and included all supplies, tools, cakes and a light lunch. There was around half an hour of tuition by the lovely Janet. These were making two different types of flower using fondant icing, one made by hand and the other using cutters. This all happened while we ate our lunch. Then it was time to play!
